My name is Rachel Kraus! Coming from Peterborough, I am excited to be joining the
Goulbourn Museum community. I am very passionate about history and making it accessible to everyone, and making it fun! I have a B.A. in History with a minor in Museum Studies, and a Graduate Certificate in Cultural Heritage and Conservation Management. I believe in the power behind artefacts and the stories they hold and how they can become conversation starters. It may sound cliché, but I believe artefacts hold energy from their previously-lived lives and can teach us so much just by being present and near them. Spending time in museums can be so educational, fun, and reflective as well.

I am a bit of a nerd, I love all things ancient and mediaeval while also being a sci-fi and mystery fanatic. I play the cello, dabble in ceramics and have a pet chinchilla named Percy. I love baking, tea and spending time outside, and am always looking for café recommendations as I am new to the area! Looking forward to the upcoming projects, and excited to share what we have in the works!
