VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Archiving Goulbourn:

The Museum is enhancing the accessibility of its collections by transcribing historic handwritten documents and manuscripts.

Our current project focuses on a Goulbourn Township Council meeting minutes book, with records dating back to 1899. This document holds special significance, as it was originally written in the very building that now houses the Museum, which once served as the Township Hall.

This volunteer opportunity is fully remote and hosted through the Museum’s Google Workspace account. Volunteers are given access to a shared folder containing transcription assignments and use a Google Sheets template to record the transcribed text.

As an Archiving Goulbourn volunteer, you can set your own schedule, contributing as much time as you wish to this meaningful preservation project.
