VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:

Archiving Goulbourn:

The Museum is improving the accessibility of collections by transcribing handwritten documents and manuscripts.

We are currently working on a series of letters belonging to a member of the Stitt family of Stittsville. This individual was a Farmerette during the Second World War and we have recently digitized a collection of her personal letters with friends during that time.

This volunteer opportunity is hosted online using the Museum’s Google Workspace account. Volunteers receive access to a folder where assignments are uploaded and a Google Sheets template is used to record the transcribed text. As an Archiving Goulbourn volunteer, you are able to dictate your hours and the time you contribute to the project.
