Indigeneity in Canada: A Webinar Hosted by Geraldine King

FreeThis free webinar is a chance for local residents to learn about some of the history of colonization in Canada, and the impacts that continue to effect Indigenous peoples to this day. Over a two hour period, local Anishinaabe scholar and Stittsville resident Geraldine “Jibby” King will offer her inputs and suggestions for allies interested in truth and reconciliation. The event is open to all, we request that you register in advance. This event is being offered with support from the Goulbourn Museum.
Geraldine King is Anishinaabe and a member of Kiashke Zaaging Anishinaabek located in the Robinson Superior Treaty area, northwestern Ontario. Geraldine’s research interests include Anishinaabe erotics, ethics of intimacy, kinship studies, theories of Anishinaabe phenomenologies, eco-erotics and Indigenous pedagogical transformation. Geraldine is a poet, author, writer, and mother.
