Have your say as we develop Goulbourn Museum’s Digitization Program

  • WHERE: The Goulbourn Museum, 2064 Huntley Road
  • WHEN: Tuesday January 31, 2023 from 7PM-8PM

Our mandate here at the Goulbourn Museum is to preserve, document, and interpret the history of our community. With over 10 000 objects in the collections however, it is impossible to find the space to display them all! This in turn means it is very difficult to exhibit the full history of our community at any one time.

As a result, in order to increase everyone’s access to the stories entrusted to our care, we are developing a digitization program that will allow us to share the collections online! We see it as a way to ensure that everyone in our community can connect with the history of the area – and we need your help to make that happen! The process of digitization is methodical and complex, and input from the community will help us to prioritize the objects and objectives of the program!

To learn more about the Goulbourn Museum Digitization Program and to help us decide what to prioritize as we undertake this process, please join us at the Museum located at 2064 Huntley Rd. in Stittsville from 7-8p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, for a short community meeting. We would love your input!
