2022 Speaker Series “Gardening with Native Plants”

June 23 @ 7:00 PM

Join us on Thursday June 23, 2022 at 7:00 pm for the second instalment of our 2022 Speaker Series. Discover the importance of native plants to our ecosystems and what the Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library does to keep our native plants thriving!

This month, we have invited Founder and President of the Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library Mélanie Ouellette to speak about gardening with native plants and why they are important. She will also talk about the different types of native plants in the area and the things that you can do in your own garden to help our native plants thrive.

By attending this lecture, you will gain a better understanding of different types of native plants in the Ottawa area, why they are so important to the survival of our ecosystems, and what you can do as gardeners to help preserve native plants. Mélanie will also talk about the Ottawa Wildflower Seed Library, what they do, and how to access your own free native plants and seeds!
