Research and collections—now available onsite and online.
Our collection of community publications and reference materials is available for public use at the Museum during regular open hours: Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (extended to Thursday to Sunday from May to August). Access is also available by appointment—email [email protected] to reserve a time.
We now offer online access to a selection of our collections through the new Online Artefact Catalogue and Online History Centre, making research more accessible than ever. Explore digitized artefacts, archival materials, and community records from anywhere, anytime.
Need additional support? Staff-facilitated research services are available by appointment. Services may include in-depth research, imaging, documentation, and the delivery of materials via email or mail. A $25/hour fee (paid in advance) applies to this service. Your contribution supports the Museum’s library, collections, and allows us to provide ongoing research services to the public.

If you’re doing genealogical research, the Goulbourn Township Historical Society (GTHS) history files are freely accessible at the Stittsville Branch of the Ottawa Public Library—just ask at the main desk.
