This Father’s Day stand in the shoes of Goulbourn’s early Irish settlers at a celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary of Confederation.

Connect with the culture of the community’s past with traditional Irish music by Celtic Sea, musket demos, sword fighting, historical reenactors and more! Learn calligraphy, take home a photo keepsake from our 1867 photo booth, buy baked goods, and bid on silent auction items. Explore the new heritage garden and nature walk and leave your mark for future generations by taking part in the Museum’s legacy 150th pathway.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fire a Brown Bess musket? On Father’s Day you can join the ranks of the 100th Regiment of Foot and learn to fire a musket! Safety comes first, so you’ll begin with instructions from a uniformed guide on operating and loading the weapon properly. Cost for the musket firing experience is $20.

Father’s Day Flashback takes place at the Goulbourn Museum on Sunday, June 18th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free and there will be crafts and games for children of all ages.
